In this role you will be responsible for applying IT knowledge and expertise to help solving complex technical or professional activities. Define, develop and implement new business applications to ensure the business operates more effectively and efficiently. Provide a comprehensive perspective of the business impact of applying state of the art tools and technologies (Industry 4.0, IoT/IIoT, AI, Smart-Connected-Operations, 3D Customer Experience, Big Data, Cloud, Additive Manufacturing, Digital Twin, AR/VR, etc.) intended to streamline current processes and energize the transformation process.

This position reports to Continuous Improvement Manager - Athens
Your responsibilities • The IS Solutions Architect is located in Athens, GA and supports ABB / Motion NEMA Motors. In this position you will develop both short and long-term business applications (data, analytics, and technology) that are aligned with our strategic goals.
• Work with IS on the delivery of new transformational programming/configuration demands (not day-to-day maintenance requests).
• Responsible for demand management of all business applications developed in end-user tools (Microsoft PowerBI, PTC ThingWorx-JAVA Script, etc.).
• Responsible for coordinating/onboarding third party tools (PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) ThingWorx, FlexSim, PowerBI, etc.) support installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of new/assigned business applications.
• Collaborate with supply chain to manage relationships with third party software vendors, focusing on performance against the agreed SLAs (service level agreements) and KPIs (key performance indicators).
• Individual contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects/challenges, often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
• Establish standards and coach/mentor other professionals.
Your background • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years experience OR Associate's with minimum 7 years experience.
• Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills. Proven interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong in usage of Microsoft Office 365 applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Preferred Experience includes: Various reporting tools (Microsoft PowerBI, SAP BI, etc.) - Know how of interface technologies (ALE, BizTalk, RFC, etc.) - Big data and how it works to solve business problems - JAVA Script.
