R&D, PRODUCT & PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.
In Product & Process Development, the Engineering Intern will work closely with engineers on a variety of tasks supporting the ideation, design and development of medical devices in the field of Regenerative Medicine.
Key responsibilities include:
Work under direct supervision of an “assignment manager” on tasks that will support R&D projects in the regenerative medicine pipeline
Support physical testing of prototypes and sample materials, data analysis, and documentation/presentation generation
Support the fabrication and processing of prototypes in the R&D process lab under direct guidance from experienced team members
Organize data in shared collaboration spaces
Communicate with team members in brainstorming and problem solving
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Bioengineering, etc.), or other related field
Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
Expected graduation date between May 2023 to 2025
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Exposure to undergraduate engineering courses
Exposure to working in undergraduate engineering and science laboratory setting
Exposure to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
