INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS…
Internship will last approximately 10 weeks.
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater at time of application
At time of application, you must be enrolled in an educational institution.
JOB OVERVIEW…
The Spectrum Reach Category and Client Development team is a thought partner in developing strategies and solutions for key Categories and Clients. This group ensures business needs and client objectives are being addressed and supported for top local, enterprise, and national clients and agencies.
The Client & Category Development team is committed to staying ahead of key category, marketing, and advertising trends, including multi-screen and advanced advertising, as well as other emerging technologies.
The intern will provide support to the CCD team and must be adept at working within a fast-paced environment and have strong collaboration and communication skills. Key projects and departmental priorities will be a key focus of this role.
REQUIREMENTS…
The Intern must be committed to staying ahead of marketing and advertising trends, including digital advertising, as well as other emerging technologies within the increasingly competitive and fragmented media landscape.
The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate proficiency and success in several areas, including:
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND DATA-DRIVEN SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT
Support information gathering and analysis of clients, market conditions, competitive market analysis, and digital opportunities.
Participate in cross-functional brainstorm sessions.
Help conduct research across proprietary databases/tools and & idea development
Coordinate and assist in development of extensive and in-depth client profile reports to align presentations and proposals with specific needs of the client business.
CLIENT RESEARCH INSIGHTS AND ANALYSIS
Collaborate cross functionally to leverage use of research tools for inclusion in client presentations.
Assist in analysis of STB data and digital reporting and monthly recaps on an as-needed basis.
DIGITAL PRODUCT AND CAMPAIGN SUPPORT
Assist in development of best-in-class digital strategies and multi-platform solutions for clients, in collaboration with Sales.
Create mock-up online ad units for client presentations, using available software tools.
Support development of campaign recaps and participate in post-mortem group discussions to ideate on next steps and communication to clients.
PRESENTATION DESIGN
Assist with development of client presentations that effectively communicate information and data through easy-to-understand, compelling visuals.
Follow creative direction while working collaboratively with other groups and actively participating in various projects.
QUALIFICATIONS…
Ideal candidate is a 3rd or 4th year student (majoring in Marketing, Media or Communications or similar). MBA a plus.
Knowledge of media industry is a plus
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communications with proven ability to work collaboratively with Leadership to shape and influence client-specific campaigns.
Must be able to work independently on a project basis and meet frequent deadlines.
Excellent team and project-management skills.
Demonstrate “innovative” thinking and new ideas.
Extensive experience with Word, Excel, Power Point and similar software; HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator familiarity helpful.
