Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a company in Grapevine that is needing a CRATE ASSEMBLERS to join their team.
Immediate start
Background Friendly
Shifts:
• 1st shift Monday - Friday 6am-3:30pm
• Overtime: Until 5pm on some workdays. Some Saturdays when needed.
Crate Assembler Responsibilities:
• Assembles wooden products such as boxes, packing cases, pallets etc.
• Assembles products/components by fastening parts and subassemblies using hand, power, and air tools; and by examining connections for correct fit
• Observes assembly operation to detect product/component defects and/or malfunctions; notifies supervisor when such defects are found
• Packages, loads, and/or ships finished products or subassemblies
• May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures and regulations; and by cleaning work area and equipment
• Eliminates waste by following practices involved with the Lean Manufacturing Process
Crate Assembler Qualifications:
• Must be able to pick up pieces of wood
• Must be able to use an electric saw
• Must be able to utilize a tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• This position involves Bending over crates, squatting, kneeling etc.
• Knowledge/experience in use of tape measure, table saw, and power tools like nail gun
