Job Summary
The Director of External Education Programs (Title III Project Director) will oversee OCTC’s ExperienceIII@OCTC Title III Project funded by the U.S. Department of Education, thus ensuring successful achievement of grant goals, objectives, and outcomes. This position will be responsible for ensuring OCTC maintains programmatic and fiscal compliance for the duration of the grant. *This assignment is fully grant-funded and therefore scheduled to end September 2024.
Job Duties:
• Maintain records and fiscal responsibility for the Title III grant, including collecting data and submitting all required project reports to the U.S. Department of Education, managing the project budget, including approving all expenditures, processing necessary materials, and conducting monthly reconciliation of accounts, and completing time and effort reports to support fiscal accountability.
• Coordinate the design, development, marketing, and delivery of grant activities to ensure timely and successful implementation, including faculty professional development, community ELC forums, and policies/procedures. Maintain alignment of daily activities of the Title III grant to ensure fiscal and programmatic compliance.
• Coordinate and assist in the development of Title III specific strategies and all project evaluation efforts to ensure maximum attainment of project goals, objectives, and outcomes.
• Develop programs and initiatives to meet the needs of students, faculty, industry, and community partners.
• Supervise the ELC Coordinator and Administrative Assistant.
• Maintain ongoing contact with industry and community organizations, relaying important information related to the Title III grant.
• Complete monthly time and effort reports to support fiscal accountability.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and five years relevant work experience or equivalent is required (i.e. education, leadership, or counseling).
• Relevant work experience could include managing a grant, overseeing a student center, providing faculty training, or related experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree and five years of relevant work experience preferred.
