Assemble pipe sections, tubing or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, or caulking. Locate and mark the position of the pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as tape measures, rulers or levels. Cut and thread pipes to specifications using tools such as pipe threaders. Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand power tools. (*These duties do not reflect all the duties for the role of a Plumbing Technician)   Physical Requirements* of a PLUMBING TECHNICIAN at Fleetwood Homes: Must be able to work in a timed and pressure-driven Production environment maintaining a solid pace. Must be able to work on your feet for 8+ hours a day, as needed. Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds individually. As well as, assist in the maneuvering of larger materials and equipment. Ability to repetitively bend, lift, squat, push and pull for up to 4 hours consistently Ability to work on knees and repetitively crouch or crawl for up to 4 hours consistently (*These requirements do not reflect all requirements needed for the role of a Plumbing Technician)   Working Conditions: Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
