Franklin County seeks a FT Equipment Operator I - Landfill for its Solid Waste Division. Responsible for performing skilled work in the operation of motorized equipment. Primary duty is operation of heavy equipment in the landfill to include placing, compacting, and covering of trash. Successful drug screening & background check is required. A valid Virginia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required or the ability to obtain within 9 months of employment. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of high school with experience in operation of heavy motorized equipment required.
