Position Summary: The Communications Office for the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach is seeking a detail-oriented employee who can combine creativity with organizational skills. The Digital Media Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Communication and will work closely with the other communications employees to help create materials for the Office of the Vice President for PSO and the eight PSO units. Duties include managing the PSO website and social media accounts including tracking analytics. This employee also will be responsible for laying out the monthly newsletter in MailChimp and will be expected to work with PSO staff to produce content including creating social media posts, taking photographs, designing graphics, and producing short videos.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: • Proficiency and experience with WordPress website management and analytics.
• Proficiency and experience with social media content management, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics.
• Ability to work with a team to develop engaging and impactful content.
• Experience with photography and/or videography production.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility in adapting communications to accommodate changing technologies and varied audiences.
• Experience with graphic design and publication software: Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere), MailChimp, Canva etc.
• Proficient in typical office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
Physical Demands: • Sit at a computer for long periods of time.
• Lifting/carrying boxes of promotional items, approximately 15-20 pounds.

• Write and schedule social media content.
• Assist other units with social content as needed.
