Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Automotive Service Consultant functions as the primary interface between automotive center customers and automotive technicians. The service consultant actively listens to the customer's description of concern(s), asks open ended questions related to what, when and how concerns occur in order to convey information to automotive technicians in support of the diagnosis and repair process. The Automotive Service Consultant helps manage customer expectations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• General knowledge of automotive repair and associated processes such as repair order workflow, technician workload, estimating and scheduling are essential for success.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and technicians are likewise essential.
• Knowledge of the automotive repair process.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between automotive technicians and customers.

• Lift up to forty pounds safely.
• Able to stand at a work station for extended periods of time.
• Able to tolerate outdoor working conditions.
• Driving as needed to perform job duties.
