About the role:
Our company is expanding rapidly, and we are looking to hire an equipment technician to join our team. To be successful in this role, must possess an ability to work independently and see things that need to be completed without having to be told. You should have demonstrated experience as an auto mechanic on cars and light trucks. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing company equipment.
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
• Equipment and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required.
• Hold a valid driver license.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
• Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
• Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
• Experience as a lube technician or prepared to do on-the-job training.
• Understanding of equipment air-conditioning systems.
• Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on-the-job training.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles and completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and tire rotations.
• Maintains vehicles’ functional condition by listening to operator complaints and conducting inspections.
• Repairs mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replaces parts and components.
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls, and updating systems.
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, and washing
• Compiles vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and preventive maintenance.
• Contains costs by keeping track of warranties and evaluating service and parts options.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
Schedule:
