MEDIKO is HIRING the following position for our new partner, the Athens-Clarke County Jail:
Position, Physician
Pay, Starting @ $135/hour
Schedule/Shift, 2 8-hour positions per week
MEDIKO is looking for a Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine). We can help to improve your quality of life with the following benefits:
* Outpatient adult population only. No hospital rounds.
* Very Competitive salary.
* Very Safe environment.
* Business professional liability insurance with tail coverage.
* Eliminate the filing of claims, administrative services and collection and dealing with insurance companies.
* Predictable schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
* Full-time, Part-time and PRN opportunities available.
* On-site, hands on orientation and training provided by an experienced correctional physician.
* Excellent nursing and staff support.
* Clear guidelines for all our medical personnel.
What We Require:
* Must have and maintain current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia (MD).
* Must maintain a current DEA registration.
* Board-certified or eligible and be qualified by the Commonwealth of Virginia laws and regulations to practice medicine.
* Experience in family practice, emergency medicine, internal medicine or public health preferred.
* Good physical and mental health.
* Able to relate well to patients, security, co-workers and mostly nursing staff.
* Must obtain and maintain security clearance.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
