Job Description
Job Purpose
Carry out installation, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of all company machines, equipment and systems as assigned.
Essential Mental Functions and Skills
* Knows and follow all safety requirements; strives to maintain a safe work environment and reports potential hazards to supervisor
* Assists in any and all areas assigned and unassigned
* Effectively gives and receives feedback; willingly asks questions and seeks direction
* Must be able to function within a team environment
* Maintains acceptable level of cleanliness in the work area
* High attention to detail
* Must be able to meet all training requirements as defined by department
Preferred Essential Experience and Qualifications
• Proficiency in the use of standard and professional hand tools.
• Proficiency in the use of standard and professional measuring instruments.
• Ability to read, follow, and understand schematics, control diagrams, blue prints, machine drawings and ladder diagrams.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of CNC machine mechanics (PREFERRED).
• Working knowledge of compresses air systems.
• A minimum of two year's experience in a machine maintenance field.
Essential Physical Requirements:
* May be required to push, pull, lift, and or carry up to 50lbs
* Long periods of sitting and or standing.
* Requires manual dexterity.
* Requires repetitive use of hands.
* Follow all requirements; strives to maintain a safe work environment and reports potential hazards to lead or supervisor.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Must be able to function within a team environment.
* Maintain acceptable level of cleanliness in the work area.
* Standard PPE is required for this position including:
* Grinding, pressing, or basic assembly could produce flying particles of metal, which can cause eye and skin injuries. Wear safety glasses while in all manufacturing departments.
* Handling sharp blades and or machined parts can cause lacerations and punctures of the hands and fingers. Wear gloves while handling sharp material and tools.
Essential Education/Experience:
* High School diploma or GED equivalent
* Basic math skills needed.
* Ability to read and analyze complex information
* Ability to identify, define and make recommendations for quality control issues.
* Train co-workers as required
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, machinery with moving parts, and
hazardous materials.
