Description:
To guide and perform any process/support duties associated with the automated filling of vaccines.  Leads and supports the filling department team members to ensure success in the activities associated with the safe and sterile preparation of vaccines.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assigns daily work of technicians based on production schedule, supporting area supervisor
• Plan for process needs and communicate progress and concerns to supervisor
• Actively participate in daily (team) huddle
• Resolve appropriate events, escalate when not able to be resolved
• May support or perform daily and/or weekly audits
• Perform filling and support production activities, as needed:
• Operate relevant department equipment in appropriate manner and in accordance with requirements
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain an environment of continuous improvement
• Complete all associated documentation in compliance with requirements
• Conduct Documentation Review
• Demonstrate sound aseptic technique and serve as a trainer and mentor to other technicians
• Demonstrate mechanical competency and interface with the maintenance department for resolving equipment issues
• Perform inventory transactions
• Review and close batch tickets
• Track Key Performance Indicators and identify opportunities for improved performance
• Demonstrate a visible & tangible commitment to HSE, Lean Principles, and the company Values in all work related activities
• In addition to the above, other assigned duties & projects deemed appropriate within the position scope
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus five (5) years of experience in related field
• B.S. from an accredited institution in Biology or related field, plus eight (8) years of experience in related field preferred
• Basic computer skills - Excel, Word
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Strong mechanical skills, experience operating automated equipment, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• cGMP manufacturing knowledge
• Aseptic filling and general production knowledge
• Product lifecycle knowledge and risks
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
