Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This incumbent plays an important role in the Terry College and is responsible for coordinating programs and events outside the classroom for Terry College undergraduate students and intended business students. The incumbent counsels and advises students on networking opportunities and offers career advice. The employee also plays a major role in alumni engagement, keeping Terry students connected to College Alumni through engagement opportunities. Through all of the responsibilities, this employee is critical to enhancing the undergraduate Terry student experience, creating a Terry community, and prepares business students for life after graduation.

Leads Intended Business Student Programs and Special Events:
• Terry Sophomore Series
• Terry Direct Program
• New Dawgs
• Scholar Initium
• Get to Know Terry
• Terry Majors Fair
• Terry Leadership Connection Mentor Program
• Charged with creating new events and programs to build out intended student programming in efforts to better prepare intended students for their Terry experience.

Duties/Responsibilities
Works with Assistant Director of Student Engagement to coordinate student-alumni programs and special events:
• Terry Alumni Panels, 4 each semester.
• Works with Assistant Director of Student Experience and Young Alumni Board to secure alumni speakers.
• Handles all logistics of room set up, catering, promotion of events.
• Serves as USSCR representative for the New Student Orientation event held each semester.
• Organizes yearly Open Mic with the Dean event.
• Assists with coordinating and facilitating Terry Talks, Alum of the Day and Day in the Life alumni events for Terry students. Averages 7 - 10 of each per semester.
• Coordinates Terry student-alumni mentor program.
• Meets with interested students to review guidelines.
• Advertises program to students.
• Works with Young Alumni Board in recruiting alumni mentors.
• Manages Mentee Orientation Sessions.
• Facilitates monthly emails to keep mentor relationships on track.
• Works with UGA Career Center staff to coordinate student programming for the year.
• Works with Assistant Director of Student Experience to develop budget for annual student services programs.
• Tracks student participation in events, providing yearly comparison spreadsheets to evaluate student event attendance statistics, email open rate stats, alumni visits, etc.

Works with Assistant Director of Student Engagement to coordinate Young Alumni Board Undergraduate Support Committee, group of alumni volunteers (approx. 20 people):
• Plans monthly conference calls
• Helps develop project ideas for the committee
• Compiles reports and PowerPoint presentations for the Young Alumni Board meetings
• Works to solicit Young Alumni support as needed for:
• Alumni Panels
• New Student Orientation
• Kickoff
• Mentor Program
• Other events as needed

Supervises weekly html "News and Events" email for current Terry undergraduates highlighting upcoming events, application deadlines and employment opportunities.
• Oversees the creation and distribution to all business and intended-business students.
• Much collaboration with all departments within the College to promote events as this is the single source of communication with all Terry students.

Coordinates tours and prospective student donor visits with many units within the College.
This includes any/all of the following: Terry campus tour, North Campus/Tate/ MLC tour, class visits, meetings with department heads, meetings with Terry admissions counselors, lunch with current students. This responsibility involves a great deal of collaboration with many units in the College.

Co-manages the Terry Student Ambassador Program.
• Manages group of 40 current students who serve as ambassadors for the College.
• Coordinates monthly meetings.
• Organizes ambassadors' assignments.
• Trains the group as needed for assignments and helps coordinate their team-building retreat to begin the year.
• Manages recruitment of new members and organizes application and interview process.
• Works with this group on the Senior Class Gift fundraising campaign.
