Romeo Hunte looking for a Design Assistant Intern! We are searching for bright, fashion-loving, and driven individuals with some knowledge of the fashion industry. The ideal candidate is responsible for assisting with the creation of commercially viable product designs across collections. Coordinate and deliver brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy; encompassing style, color/print, fit, and fabric for new/existing product lines. Applies a solid working knowledge of fashion trends and consumer needs to product designs. The Graphic Design Intern will be a member of our team and help move the company forward by creating marketing materials, compiling and editing press clips, and coordinating with a network of photographers, stylists, and the rest of the team to create imagery and content.

INTERNSHIP IS UNPAID - SCHOOL CREDIT IS AVAILABLE.

Requirements:
Must own a laptop
Be able to commute to our Brooklyn office
Be 18 years of age or older
Start-up mentality
Thrive in high-pressure, highly charged, and dynamic environments
Willing to pitch in on a variety of projects
Strong time management skills
Must be able to work independently
Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written
Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong multi-tasking skills and organizational skills to be able to balance several projects at a time
Strong knowledge of garment construction and fabrics
Good hand sketching skills, flats, and digital sketch
Computer skills should include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, tech packs, Microsoft Office, Google Suites
Thrive in a fast-paced, creative work environment with tight deadlines
Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Human Resources, Management, or related. If not currently enrolled in school, be seeking a long-term internship opportunity that provides hands-on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Proficiency in photoshop and illustrator
Ability to edit in Lightroom
Ability to use a DSLR
Basic HTML Skills/ Adobe Illustrator
High-End and Minimalist Aesthetic
Excellent organizational skills.
Available a minimum of three days per week
Assist in interpreting the brand’s direction into materials, trims, styles, trends, colors, and patterns.
Prepare line sheet/lookbook and presentation materials/set-up for line previews and buy meetings.
UNPAID INTERNSHIPS ARE FOUR TO 12 MONTHS. IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE INTERNSHIP.
