A Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of the installation, repair, and upkeep of the molded doorskin facility and equipment. This position will manage a team of maintenance personnel responsible for ensuring the operation meets customer’s expectations. The ideal candidate should have a proven background of continuous improvement and ability to lead the department to consistently higher standards.
A solid understanding of electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The maintenance manager must have a strong background in millwright activities. This individual should be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting and budgeting.

• Ensure compliancy with all health and safety policies.
• Very HANDS ON collaborative process driven manager.
• Develop processes and procedures, and conduct required training in the implementation of these practices.
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
• Maintain equipment in working order, with maximum uptime.
• Ability to analyze breakdown data to drive continual improvement.
• Strong problem-solving skills in both electrical, mechanical and Hydraulic.
• Ensure we meet or exceed customer quality expectations.
• Manage a team of electrical and mechanical maintenance employees.
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Keep both quality and maintenance logs and report on daily activities using a maintenance software package.
• Develop predictive and preventative maintenance programs for the facility.
• Ensure spare parts and equipment inventories are adequate to properly maintain the facilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as maintenance manager or another engineering managerial role.
• Experience managing a continual process in a 24/7 environment.
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of electrical, pneumatic, PLC and hydraulic systems, as well as a level of millwork skills.
• Working knowledge of automated machines and equipment.
• Strong knowledge/experience managing maintenance through CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems)
• Maintenance experience in a MDF/HDF plant with a multi-opening press preferred.
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities .
