Job Description
Performs tasks involving physical and skilled labor at boathouse construction sites on Smith Mountain Lake.
Operates hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, cranes, mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
Must have "sea legs" to work over water near shore and on the lake when moving large barge and multiple boats to next worksite.
May clean and prepare sites, drive up to 45 foot wooden or steel pilings with crane/air hammer to support dock and small roof construction, including erection of scaffolding and brace boards.
Clean up debris, and other waste materials.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, more with mechanical assistance.
Attention to detail a must.
Able to work as a team member to complete all parts of the job including cleanup and organization of equipment and materials.
Drug/alcohol-free workplace.
Pay based upon experience, performance and team work.
Year-round work available as weather and other regulatory factors permit.
