Full Job Description Nexhaul Trailer Company in Rocky Mount, VA is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. Nexhaul Trailer Company has been a staple in Rocky Mount for many years. We manufacturer all types of trailers and send them out Nationwide. Responsibilities (Not all encompassing)
· Completing tasks with deadlines assigned
· Serves as liaison in negotiations between Nexhaul and Vendors
· Assess vendors and negotiate new deals
· Renegotiate expiring contracts if applicable
· Place orders for products and services
· Ensures Nexhaul has correct inventory for all products we offer
· Orders inventory in a timely manner to avoid plant disruptions
· Works directly with executive management and owner on special projects
· Must stay informed on worldwide supply and demand that directly effects Nexhaul
· Maintain positive relationships with all members of management/supervision.
· Coordinate with our Supply Room Supervisor to ensure proper inventory counts
These are just some of the responsibilities this position has. It is the backbone of our Company. The Purchasing Coordinator must constantly search for better alternatives and pricing to keep any price increases to a minimal. This is primarily a desk position but there will be times that you will need to spot check inventory levels and fix discrepancies. · Must have experience in negotiating
· Must have experience in purchasing and/or managing inventory on a large scale
· Must be driven, must have personal and professional goals
· Must be an innovator, someone that is not afraid to offer a different solution
· Must be independent with minimal supervision
· Must be reliable and have own reliable transportation
· Must have a proven record of attendance with previous employers
· Must be punctual
· Must be able to communicate effectively, over the phone with Vendors
· Must be assertive yet professional with Vendors when negotiating and shipping expectations
