We are seeking a talented modeling and simulation engineer to help the Poland Offset team deliver a 6-Degree of Freedom simulation and a hardware in-the-loop (HWIL) capability along with associated training to an international ally. This role can be supported remotely working a 4/10 Flex schedule with occasional onsite support at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX. This position requires the ability to obtain a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You'll Do:
• Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems and environments, guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and actual Operational Flight Program code into the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).
• Use the simulation to stimulate hardware in the Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Lab to verify performance requirements are met.
• Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies and simulation analyses for end-to-end battle management systems (BMS).

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
• Proficient in C++ and MATLAB
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Final Secret security clearance
• Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience with Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3)/IAMD modeling
• Experience with Python
• FORTRAN experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo is a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $106,400 - $203,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
