Job Description
Develop, recommend, and implement accounting practices throughout CCI in accordance with GAAP to ensure that financial and operating data accurately reflect the condition of the business. Identifies key data points and translates activity into information and insights to be used for decision making. This is an opportunity to think strategically and drive change within an accounting function as well as utilize technology and presentation skills.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
• Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform non-routine financial or operational analyses, used to identify and communicate emerging trends, leading to determination of risks and opportunities.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, define plan to address, and project manage implementation
• Establish, and or monitor/review, the execution of significant Accounting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company established guidelines
• Research and propose appropriate accounting treatment of non-routine transactions.
• Create visualizations based on analyses performed on metrics and drivers associated with results. Present findings/status to different levels of leadership.
• Identify variances to measure of record and provides detailed explanations.
• Develop business partnerships and alignment, while providing subject matter expertise and consultation within area of focus.
• Leads and or assists cross functional team to define, assign, monitor and complete project objectives.
• Assist with policy updates & development.
Minimum
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and 4 years' experience in related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, etc
• Proficient in Microsoft products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Oracle and other tools, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional partners throughout the organization
• Team player, reliable, flexible, and active participant on the team
• Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced changing environment.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Tableau, Oracle, Essbase/SmartView/OneStream, SQL, etc.
• Experience working with an outsourced team
• CPA desired
