Salary: £45,000+ depending on experience

Acorn Education and Care, are recruiting a Registered Manger to join our teams within the Hayling Island area. Our registered independent homes offer residential care for vulnerable children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Complex Needs.
Beachlands is an Ofsted 'Good' registered residential home for six young people aged 11 - 18 with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. Our beautiful residential home, located on Hayling Island, within easy walking distance of the beach, offers a therapeutic model of care to our residents which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. Beachlands is supported by a specialist independent Ofsted registered school that provides our residents a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum to support their personal and academic needs.
This home is based in Hayling Island , and is within commuting distance from Waterlooville, Portsmouth, Havant and surrounding areas.
The Role:
As the Registered Manager you will:
• Ensure the smooth operation of the home, helping our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.
• Work as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs.
• Maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.
• Deliver efficient management, delivery, and development of our residential service, ensuring the highest quality of care and support is consistently given.
• Effectively manage the care team to achieve the best outcomes for our residents, whilst providing a safe and secure environment and maintaining Ofsted and Quality Care Standards.
Who we are looking for:
• A level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) as a minimum. It would be highly desirable for candidates to hold, or be nearing completion of, their Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
• Previous Residential Care experience
• People with a big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives
• Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging and therefore be a calm, engaging, resilient leader able to motivate your team to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.
