Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:•   Leads the day-to-day operations of Central Sterile Processing in coordination with SPD Team Leader/Coordinator. Responsible for staffing, assignments, & colleague performance in Central Sterile Processing. Responsible for organizing educational opportunities, and/or, in-services for colleagues in Central Sterile Processing. Performs quality assurance and performance improvement for Central Sterile Processing. Acts as a liaison between third-party organizations, surgical services, our customers, and Central Sterile Processing.•   Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates staff development for clinical staff, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Provides direct, step-by-step, instruction to staff regarding special clinical processes and procedures, while maintaining standards of professional care. Responsible for providing safe and efficient indirect care of the perioperative patient. This is achieved through performing the decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization and distribution of hospital instrumentation, as well as supplies and equipment for St. Mary’s.•   Responsible for assisting Team Leader and Management with coaching, follow-ups, and disciplinary action plans. Furthermore, assists in clinical competencies and annual evaluations. Develops orientation and preceptor manuals for Sterile Processing. Develops, maintains, and improves upon communication practices in Sterile Processing. •   Must be proficient with all computer software related to the departmental needs to allow for audits and education regarding those programs. Coordinates educational in-services, assists educators with HealthStream assignments, and verifies staff maintains required certifications. Maintains staff schedules, assignments, duties, and projects as appropriate. Assists leadership with developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating projects in Central Sterile and Materials Management.•   Other duties as assignedFront line leader that coordinates daily staffing and daily operations of Sterile Processing. This colleague will be responsible for staffing schedules, role assignments, lunch relief, and productivity. Next, they .will be responsible for priority turnovers to ensure optimal workflow of the daily cases.
