Full Job Description Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
• Maintain A/R software
• Maintain accurate rent roll and occupancy records
• Maintain schedule for rent and other fee increases
• Preparation and distribution of monthly resident billing
• Monitor A/R to ensure timely receipt of payments
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and preparation for collections
• Reporting and reconciliation
• Weekly processing of A/P invoices for payment
• Manage Petty Cash accounts
• Liaison to residents/family members and vendors
Human Resources & Payroll Functions:
• Recruiting and pre-employment screening
• New Hire orientation/onboarding
• Maintain employee files in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Track and schedule employee training/in-services, performance evaluations, rate increase
• Worker's Compensation claim reporting and leave administration
• Time-keeping and preparation of payroll
• Completion of employment verification, unemployment /reemployment assistance inquiries
• Implement employee engagement and recognition programs
• Provide support with HR-related issues, payroll and benefits questions
• Reporting
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or higher
• 5 years+ related experience and/or training in lieu of degree
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
• Ability to use standard office equipment, such as copier, fax machine, multi-line telephone system, postage meter, etc.
• Basic knowledge of HR laws and industry-related federal and state regulations a plus
• Self-starter with attention to detail
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
• Exceptional organizational, time-management, and public speaking skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment and to handle confidential information
• Able to handle stress and problems effectively and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations
