Full-Time Job Details Description The Station Manager is responsible for managing a multi-functional global transportation operation, and overseeing the Operations, Accounting, Sales, Business Development and Human Resources functions of a freight station.   GEODIS is one of the world’s largest leading Supply Chain Operators! As a GEODIAN, you will work hands-on with products from hundreds of customers in different industries – retail, healthcare, technology and more - all within our warehouse distribution centers, located globally.   No matter what position you’re in, you will find yourself contributing to the development and success of your career and our customers.   The points below highlight the Station Manager duties: Manages P&Ls against budget and all accounting associated with station Reviews AR/AP reports and resolves discrepancies Reviews various other reports daily ensuring timely billing and movement of cargo Maintains positive vendor relationships through timely payment of vendor’s invoices Monitors expenses, and reduces unnecessary spending Maintains an international inbound and outbound transportation program Communicates with agents to ensure timely movement of cargo Maintains high compliance standards for Customs Brokerage by keeping abreast of new regulations affecting customers, ensuring requests from Customs are handled timely fashion, and through research classifications for clients, as well as reviewing the accuracy of POAs Trains and motivates employees by providing employees with information regarding new regulations as it pertains to their jobs, offering guidance and assistance to direct reports   What will set you apart as a GEODIAN? Positive attitude, initiative and attention to detail Knowledge on International regulations and laws   Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university Minimum 5 years experience in international logistics (freight forwarding and customs brokerage experience optimal); or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 3 years experience managing a station in the Global Transportation industry Customs Brokerage License preferred   [1]The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
