The Active Directory Operations Lead provides support and implementation services for Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Domain Service and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions.
Resolves and appropriately completes assigned cases and change requests and acts as an escalation for support issues. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and Managed Service providers to determines course of action for new application initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business.
The core infrastructure technology duties include support of enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Windows services. Some specific duties are: troubleshooting system issues, implementing appropriate security controls, monitoring AD health & performance, managing/updating group policy settings, monitoring and implementation of new services in cooperation with Security and Architecture & Engineering groups. **This role requires an in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Domain Services, ADFS/MS-SSO, Azure Active Directory Connect, Windows Server 2000 to 2019, windows security and AWS managed AD. Working knowledge of Azure and AWS IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions is preferred. Microsoft certifications are a plus.**
The core leadership responsibilities include, management of offshore AD operation support team, managing service levels, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets.
**This role is hybrid/remote out of the Bridgewater, NJ HQ.**
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Serves as operational lead for the Directory Services tower at BHC.
+ Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems with Managed Service Providers.
+ Works with MSP to set priorities and ensure timely resolution of requests and trouble tickets
+ Proactively monitor all systems in the Active Directory domain to ensure maximum performance, efficiency and availability
+ Validate system upgrades and patches when required
+ Upgrade system software and hardware components as required to meet business needs
+ Ensure upgrades are occurring in accordance with established parameters
+ Provide appropriate user support as assigned
+ Implement and troubleshoot Certificate Authorities, DNS, DHCP, ADFS and other core Windows components
+ Group Policy administration, troubleshooting, documenting and implementing
+ Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for corporate Identity Management environment.
+ Serves as the first line of escalation support for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by tier one and two server support, guiding Managed Service Provider.
+ Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
+ Assist with the installation and configuration of the Active Directory network components
+ Provide technical assistance pertaining to Active Directory & SSO (Azure AD/ADFS) in planning and development of new projects
+ Recommend and implement improvements to the Active Directory & Azure AD environment
+ Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and system groups
+ Assist in the planning and implementation of Active Directory upgrades and new releases
