Position Summary:
We are growing and hiring a NEW position for a Business Intelligence Architect to join our team and collaborate with the BI and Global Data Governance teams to design, develop, and operationalize the BI strategy, roadmap, and architecture. You will translate requirements into BI solutions and work with Data Warehouse and Data Engineering teams, Business SMEs, BI on advanced BI use cases. The role will directly report to a Senior Manager Business Intelligence within the Global Data Governance team, which is part of the CFO organizationYou will have the opportunity to manage Power BI Premium Capacities infrastructure, and modeling complex analytical problems for BI applications, discovering insights, and identifying opportunities for using various visualization tools and techniques.Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with Data Warehouse, Integration, MDM, and Analytics teams on design, and implementation of end-to-end BI and analytical solutions
• Participate in collaborative software and system design and development of BI and analytical products using Power BI, and the Power Platform
• Develop Enterprise Sematic Models (Tabular and Multi-dimensional) to deliver a consistent and single source of data for reporting and BI.
• Develop security and authentication standards for BI solutions across the organization that leverage Active Directory groups, and row level security provided by the data warehouse
• Implement semantic models for different subject areas that serve the analytical needs of various business personas and functions
• Consulting lead for self-service analytics champion self-service across the enterprise while making sure that design and implementation guidelines are followed by local teams through a self-regulated community of practice, and data set and dashboards review and promotion process
• Ensure conceptual and architectural integrity of the platform and solution
• Cross-reference diverse requirements from different business units to coalesce them into a standard scalable enterprise catalog of metrics, and BI models and solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree or higher in Information Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with managing, publishing, and optimizing BI solutions using Power BI Premium Capacities.
• Expert level on DAX and Power Query, and intermediate to high level SQL skills
• Experience in data modeling, designing data warehouses/data marts and reporting, dashboarding, and advanced analytics solutions utilizing Power BI
• Extensive experience in creating tabular models, Power BI Datasets, Data Flows.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
• Power BI / Power Platform certifications are strongly preferred
• Be energetic and passionate about delivering value to internal and external customers through a portfolio of digital products and services with embedded analytics
• Deep knowledge in data modeling, semantic modeling, and reporting, dashboarding using Power BI, Microsofts Power Platform
Compensation details:The salary range for this role is 100 - 130K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado.
