Job Description Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks an Adjunct Instructor for its Dental Hygiene program within the Life Science and Public Safety Division . The successful applicant will provide competent and comprehensive instruction in the area of Dental Hygiene curriculum. The Adjunct Instructor will report directly to the Program Chair of Dental Programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the management, development, monitoring, and completion of the Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene Program initiatives
• Contribute to planning and development processes
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, administrators, faculty and staff
• Assist clinical coordinator with clinic supply; tracking and stocking
• Supervise and instruct dental hygiene students during clinic
• Support clinical facilities
• Provide a safe environment for the provision of instructions and patient care
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Georgia
• Knowledge of Dentrix software
• Two (2) years clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
• One (1) – three (3) years of previous work experience as a dental hygienist
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Experience in electronic delivery and online learning is highly desirable
