Job Description Athens Technical College in Athens, GA seeks a full time Economic Development Coordinator . The Economic Development Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, development, monitoring, and completion of project initiatives associated with the assigned area for the division of Economic Development and will report to the Vice President for Economic Development.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Works with Economic Development Directors to coordinate and develop workforce development and training project initiatives and assists in contracts and proposals for companies and instructors
• Develops and/or assists with the development of policies and procedures and recommends changes to effectively meet the goals and requirements of the programs and the needs of businesses and students
• Facilitates collaborative committees and community partnerships to serve business and student needs and to achieve program goals
• Communicates regularly on progress toward project goals and/or required results, conducts regular evaluation of services and programs, and makes recommendations for enhancements
• Enters and reviews program data for reporting requirements, generates reports, and provides data to internal and external customers
• Develops, implements, and oversees the maintenance of Economic Development programs, student recruitment, scheduling, training files, record-keeping, distribution of materials, and other types of office/program systems
• Provides outreach and education to the community, business and industry, non-profits, and other local organizations about the wide variety of workforce development programs and services available through Athens Technical College
• Coordinates program-related student support programs as needed, and facilitates referrals for students requiring resources
• Manages and oversees financial/budget operations of assigned projects/ programs, such as ordering supplies, submitting invoices, and ensuring payment of contracted instructors
• Conducts regular evaluation of services provided and makes adjustments as needed
• Keeps abreast of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact project initiatives
• Coordinates building use schedule for the Agriculture Arena on the Elbert campus and is present at all arena events, some of which my fall outside of nor working hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree *and* Two (2) years work experience
Note:  Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis .
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience providing student support and sharing community resources
• Ability to develop and maintain community partnerships
• Experience in program management in an administrative role
