*Role: Associate Engineer**Department: Engineer**Reports to: Sr. Design Engineer**Direct Reports: No*Assist with design engineering tasks in a timely fashion, following establish procedures. Maintenance of design information and follow up with other departments inquires or needs. skilled assistance in a specialized process*Position responsibilities as follows: ** Assist design engineers and support the marketing, manufacturing, and other related departments* Ensures that product design is safe and manufacturable.* Create new parts and assemblies to meet customer and PPI requirements* Ensures that designs meet the customer’s specification, PPI and industry standards* Create detailed 2D or 3D drawings and provide shop support for design issues* Maintain engineering design data in the Design System* Participate in Kaizen events and other improvement projects* Engineering to order new designs using and troubleshooting DE software and procedures.* Interface with other department personnel regarding ideas, processes, tests, products and/or drawings, as well as external customers and/or vendors.* Utilize various established department procedures, equipment, materials, tools, practices or models to meet department requirements.*Education or Equivalent (any of these may apply): ** 2 Year Associate degree or 2 years equivalent work experience* 2 years’ experience using CAD software (2D and 3D modeling)* Experience with Microsoft Office applications (emphasis on Access)*Knowledge/Skills Requirements: ** Understand and meet 5S standards for working environment* Actively seeks, shares, and applies new concepts to continuously improve self and others.* Works effectively with others individually and in teams in pursuit of organizational goals.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail standards* Understands the processes and operation of the entire plant, including customer expectations.* Customer service focused, both internal and external*Physical Requirements: ** Position contingent on passing all applicable fit for duty requirements*About Power Partners: *Power Partners is a leading manufacturer of distribution transformers, serving utility, industrial and commercial customers in North America, Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and other markets.
