Job Summary
CertainTeed currently has openings for Packagers in our Athens, GA fiberglass insulation manufacturing facility.
$3,000 Sign-on Bonus!! To be paid out in staggering amounts: $1,000 paid after completing 90 days and $2,000 to be paid after completing 6 months of service
Job Responsibilities:
Comply with all Plant Safety Rules and Government Regulations and ensure a safe healthy work environment. Be a model for safety. Report all safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
Operate different types of packing equipment and know all associated safety procedures of each piece of equipment. Keep the working area in a clean, neat, and tidy condition continually.
Follow all instructions for production goals and efficiency. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the manager.
Essential Functions:
Standing, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching; and the ability to lift weights to 40 lbs.
We have a highly competitive starting wage of $18.13/hour (qualification period). Once the qualification period is complete, the wage increases to $18.33/hour, with opportunities to bid for higher-level positions. Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
+ Completed high school diploma or GED, preferred
+ Must be computer literate
+ Preferred experience in a manufacturing, production, and/or warehouse environment where safety is a high priority.
+ Must demonstrate a stable work history
+ Must be willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts (4 days on/4 days off) and also rotate from day shift (7 am to 7 pm) to night shift (7 pm to 7 am)
+ Must be able to work in a high paced manufacturing environment
+ Must be detail-oriented
+ Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
