Job Summary Manages daily staff activities for the security area. # Job Responsibilities Determines, coordinates, and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels for security officers and courier staff. Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Assists with performance evaluations and corrective actions. Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with department and organization policies, procedures, and protocols. Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, corrective actions, and continuing education initiatives. Manages access and camera monitoring control systems. Identifies and mitigates security vulnerabilities at all organizational facilities. Serves as a security liaison with law enforcement agencies. Maintains organizational vehicle maintenance and registrations. Assists with conducting interviews of potential candidates and recommends hiring decisions to the manager. Assists with the budget process on a yearly basis. Responsible for ordering departmental supplies and equipment. Qualifications Associate#s degree or higher in related field required upon hire A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. A minimum of 2 years# relevant experience required Driver - Valid driver#s license and 21 years of age required upon hire Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
