Carilion Clinic is seeking a full time Hospice Supervisor for the Franklin Hospice office located in Rocky Mount, VA. This position is full time working Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Qualified candidates should be an RN with hospice experience. Will be responsible for supervision of 17 staff and day-to-day operations.
Will plan, organize, direct, communicate and evaluate activities.  Will assume 24 hour accountability for human resources, operational and patient care for Hospice - Franklin based.  Responsible for all complex operational and personnel issues of a legal and ethical nature.  Collaborates with the Senior Director to assure that system wide standards of care, service excellence, and goals and objectives are met at the local level.  Responsible for assisting the Senior Director in developing, implementing, and monitoring the fiscal budget and capital equipment needs to assure the cost effective delivery of care.  Responsible for medical review and reimbursement appeals process.  May make home visits for patients of all ages, as required, for staff supervision/evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.  Bachelors degree in nursing, business or related field required.
Experience: Three to five years experience in home health management required.  Thorough working knowledge of current regulations and accrediting standards for the State of Virginia and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations required.  Experience in managing in a competitive environment.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: A registered nurse currently licensed in Virginia. Must possess VA drivers license. BLS required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Computer skills required.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required.  Experience with Continuous Quality Improvement process.  Demonstrates positive interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, analytical business skills, integrity, innovation, team player, problem solving/conflict resolution skills and customer focused philosophy.  Work is performed in an office environment with travel required.  meets physical requirements for essential job functions.  Must have a criminal record check showing no convictions of barrier crimes.
