Position Summary
Advise and assist management team on HSE matters. This role is that of an Advisor, Consultant and Coordinator. The purpose of the role is to provide initiatives to assist the management team in developing and supporting a progressive HSE culture within the specific area work construction team.
This position must develop a good working relationship with the corporate team and Branch Managers; as respect and credibility are key components of acquiring this rapport.
To lead / mentor a group of HSE Coordinators in delivering high quality safety and training services to the USA Debusk team
Manage time with the following ratio: field work - 40%/ office work - 60%
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist in coordinating on-the-job training for new and current USA Debusk employees.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee testing and evaluation procedures for branch training initiatives.
• Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for staff members.
• Confer with management and conduct frequent audits of jobsites.
• Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials for required safety meetings.
• Evaluate HSE Coordinator performance on a frequent basis and provide feedback.
• Provide feedback on required budgeting and resources to the VP Safety.
• Champion incident investigation process.
• Train HSE Coordinators and Operations in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees.
• Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
• Develop and track branch safety performance and provide frequent updates to Branch Manager and VP - Safety
• Provide training status to Branch Manager on a frequent basis.
• Monitor and communicate open action items to Branch Manager on a frequent basis
• Collaborate with Branch Manager on SSHASP development

Basic/Required Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the Waterjet industry, with at least 5 years in a training and development role and/or.
• Diploma, Degree, or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety preferred

Location
• Located in Owensboro Branch office but will provide safety support to Evansville, IN, etc.
Conditions of Employment
• Successful completion of mandatory training requirements, including a background check, drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, extended work hours with the potential for overnight/extended travel
• Must be willing to work in industrial environments and adverse weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time
