Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates is a large, well-established practice with 105 physicians, 45 Mid-level Providers, 50 offices, and 14 endoscopy centers around the Metro Atlanta Area. We seek candidates with a record of academic achievement and excellent consultative and diagnostic skills. Gastroenterology experience is preferred, but not required. To learn more about the practice, please visit our website at www.atlantagastro.com.GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIESResponsible for providing medical assistance to patients in office and in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians.RESPONSIBILITIESDuties include but are not limited toRunning daily GI outpatient clinicAccurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or proceduresAnswering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient mannerAbiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient informationREQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCEMaster of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner. GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply. Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAPP must be able to:Provide a high level of quality patient care and customer service at all timesWork under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely mannerMaintain composure and set a professional example to patients and coworkersCommunicate clearly with patients and coworkers through the telephone, email, and in personInterpret and apply clinical and non-clinical policies and proceduresPHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSRequires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment; travel within the Metro area required.
