In this role the Senior Facilities Engineer will be Responsible for providing advanced engineering, design, and construction of manufacturing facilities, systems, and equipment; and providing engineering and technical support for complex production and processing equipment.
You will:
• Interpret company and area policies and procedures to employees, enforces safety and compliance to environmental control procedures and QSR/ISO regulations.
• Review new technologies and practices in order to evaluate for Ethicon use.
• Provide training to subordinates for skill development, retention and certification.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the main facility electrical distribution systems and associated equipment.
• Management of testing and maintenance of the site main electrical substation and associated main electrical distribution rooms, uninterruptible power systems (UPS), and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Responsible for maintenance and repair of general lighting systems across the site.
• Responsible for overall management of capital projects including project scheduling, capital cost estimation, budget tracking, equipment specification, specific phases of design, resource planning, process development and equipment installation and qualification. Development of project costs and schedules will be based on customer driven needs.
• Management of project installation and operational qualifications within Ethicon's change control systems.
• Secure, supervise and manage outside contractors as required to achieve project goals in accordance with plant rules and regulations, with specific attention to issues of contractor safety and budgetary constraints.
• Understand, support, and promote company objectives and programs, including but not limited to safety, diversity, GMP/ISO, Right-to-exist, Building Ownership program (BOP) and regulatory compliance.
• Provide input into budget, headcount, and workload planning. In addition to assigned duties, identify and develop your own workload consistent with supporting the overall plant objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience is required.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience is preferred.
• Electrical power distribution experience is preferred.
• Environmental and safety policies and guidelines knowledge is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and Maximo is preferred.
• Prefer knowledge of lean manufacturing and manufacturing processes such as Just in Time (JIT), KANBAN, and Pull Systems.
• Compliance knowledge (GMP, EHS, and other regulatory standards/regulations) is preferred.
• Environmental and safety policies and guidelines knowledge is preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project, and other specialty software as required.
• Availability to travel up to 10% domestic.
