Job DescriptionPosition SummaryBased in Owensboro, Kentucky, the Manager, Strategic Supply Chain will play a large role in establishing the standard for quality, production performance, materials availability, and execution of new product development through a network of suppliers, contract manufacturers, packaging, and warehousing facilities.As the Constellation Brand’s new Manager, Strategic Supply Chain, you will be responsible for inventory accuracy, materials purchasing and quality while driving improvement in processes and reporting.  You will be responsible for analyzing both short- and long-term opportunities to improve efficiency throughout the craft spirits and external operations network as well as developing the KPI scorecards and quality programs that will focus on the continuous improvement of our supplied products and materials.  Reporting, purchasing, auditing, qualification programs, and process improvement skills are your toolbox as you partner with teams of both internal and external stakeholders to improve external operations results by focusing on identification and mitigation of risks and weaknesses to prevent supply shortfalls and quality compromises while providing transparency to performance.ResponsibilitiesEstablish new processes and improve existing processes for managing suppliersSupport External Operations department in developing and maintaining a KPI scorecard to ensure finished goods and materials suppliers are performing to the expectations and standards of Constellation Brands; responsible for gathering, analyzing data and recommending improvementsInstitute weekly production performance reviews with suppliers as well as report on quality, order fulfillment and related performance indicators monthly, quarterly and annually to internal managementCoordinate with suppliers and other internal functions (i.e., Packaging Technology, Planning, Procurement, Quality Services) to establish quality objectives, improve supplier performance, ensure material supply availability and deliver against NPD timelinesDrive reconciliation process and ensure accuracy of:Materials transactionsFinished goods transactionsBill of materials consumption of inventoryRegular reporting from internal and external materials warehousingMonitor, investigate and report on consumer complaints and field quality reports (FQRs) pertaining to materials and finished goods produced at contract manufacturers.Provide general analytical and technical support with the goal of continuously improving our operations to reduce costs, improve service levels, establish quality related priorities, and better utilize assets.Ensure contract manufacturing related quality documentation is properly maintained and compliant with good documentation practices.Manage projects at sites pertaining to but not limited to sanitation, filtration, food safety, and environmental biological monitoring programs.Support NPD product change launches and activities as the liaison to contract manufacturers and suppliers.Responsible for the buying function for all third-party materials to support productionEnsure suppliers are paid within payment term limits via SAP AribaDevelop standardized supplier quality operating procedures across all external/internal sites and train impacted personnel. Procedures shall minimally include nonconforming product reporting, defective material reporting (DMR) and follow-up, and specification evaluations.Ensures Corrective Action Requests (CAR) are executed per procedure, monitored/ trended as required, and closed as effective in a timely manner.Conduct onsite inspections, audits and represent Constellation Brands as needed with both internal and external auditors.Assist with various projects as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree5+ years of related operations experience, including 3+ years of project/program management experienceExperience facilitating Lean/Six Sigma & Kaizen evaluationsAbility to interpret complex technical data and apply to business decisionsKnowledge of HACCP, GMPs, ISO, and applicable federal/state regulationsAbility to travel domestically and internationally, 30% of timePreferred Qualifications8+ years of related operations experiencePrior experience with S4 HANA and SAP AribaExperience managing a quality programExperience managing external operations or contract manufacturingMS or MBA desiredAlcohol Beverage or CPG Industry experiencePhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentMust be at least 21 years of age.Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods.
