Job Description
*Responsibilities: *· Manage capital projects ensuring they are completed on time and under budget.· Train operators and maintenance technicians when new processes or equipment have been installed.· Apply statistical tools to measure, analyze, and improve product and process performance.· Ability to drive continuous improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma in a team-oriented culture improving safety, quality, delivery and cost.· Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulation to ensure that duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.· Perform audits of the production lines ensuring operators have the tools they need to be successful· Develop specifications for new equipment and processes.· Equipment Capability – Understand and document equipment limitations and specify requirements for new equipment to meet design criteria· Update factory layouts and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.) when changes are made· Understand the process flow being able to identify and eliminate bottlenecks to the process· Assist maintenance in troubleshooting equipment, identifying critical spare parts for equipment, and recommending PMs for equipment*Knowledge/Skills Requirements: *· Process design experience· Solid understanding of engineering documentation to support a manufacturing environment· Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail· Team Player· Proven ability to design for manufacturability and lost cost achievement· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Studio 5000· Technical knowledge upgrades such as welding, PLC controls, Vacuum systems, ovens, paint and marking systems, overhead cranes and assembly equipment*Education and Experience: *· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required· 5-10 years hands-on product design experience in manufacturing environment· Strong background in manufacturing concepts such as Lean, Kaizen, Six SigmaJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to Friday* Night shiftEducation:* Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:* Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
