Description:
Under limited supervision, the Technician II/III/IV, Process Maintenance executes advanced maintenance activities for assigned vaccine manufacturing equipment such as: cell culture and fermentation tanks, pumps, chromatography skids, ultra-filtration skids, centrifuges, CIP / COP units, glass washers, autoclaves, freeze dryers, depyrogenation ovens/tunnels, vial fillers, high-speed labeling and packaging systems, and other equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Executes proper “Housekeeping” activities routinely, in all work areas at end of shift.
• Maintains an up-to date spare parts inventory system for equipment/systems within area of responsibility.
• Completes all work in accordance with CFR’s, cGMP’s, SOP’s, and job plans as assigned.
• Develops and Revises SOP’s or job plans/work plans for related areas.
• Assists in the development of detailed individual training program to increase knowledge of assigned maintenance and operation fields and other areas of the plant as needed.
• Ensures work is completed in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans and corporate policies.
• Performs accurate trouble shooting of equipment/system events and contributes to detailed Failure Analysis to uncover root cause.
• Assists, as required, outside contractors performing projects or supplementing work force.
• Contributes to cross-functional equipment improvement teams focusing on performance and reliability.
• Demonstrates a visible & tangible commitment to HSE, Lean Principles, and other corporate initiatives in all work-related activities.
• Handles additionally assigned duties & projects deemed appropriate within the position scope.
• Works in accordance with the Athens Site policies and procedures.
• Execute advanced maintenance activities, or operate and monitor complex plant support equipment, with ability to resolve complex issues or problems independently
• Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems for which the team is responsible
• Ensures "Housekeeping" activities, (i.e. keeping work areas clean, cleaning of equipment etc.) are performed routinely and all work areas are restored at the end of each shift
• Develop and maintain a detailed training program for the team in order to develop team’s knowledge in the maintenance and operations field and other areas of the plant
• All work must be completed in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans and corporate policies
• Develop, revise, and review SOPs or job plans/work plans for work related areas
• Perform advanced trouble shooting and detailed failure analysis to uncover root cause
• May make day-to-day work assignments to other technicians and ensure that work is executed according to the plan/ schedule
• Coordinates the work of outside contractors performing projects or supplementing the work force
• Leads cross-functional equipment improvement teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
• Demonstrate a visible & tangible commitment to HSE, Lean Principles, and the BI Vision in all work related activities
• In addition to the above, other assigned duties & projects deemed appropriate within the position scope

Tech II Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two to three (2-3) year combination of education, training, and experience in one or more of the following fields:
• Utility Operations/Maintenance
• Control Systems
• Operations/Maintenance
Tech III Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5+) year combination of education, training, and experience in one or more of the following fields: Process Equipment Maintenance or Control Systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem Solving/Decision Making skills.
• Knowledge of Processes, Systems and Resources.
• Computer literacy.
Tech IV Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Eight-plus (8+) year combination of education, training, and experience in one or more of the following fields: Utility Operations/Maintenance, Process Equipment Maintenance, Control Systems, HVAC Operations/Maintenance, and/or Fire Systems Maintenance
• Communicate Effectively
• Problem Solving/Decision Making
• Knowledge of Processes, Systems and Resources
• Computer literacy
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
