We are looking for an individual to join our robust and dynamic team as we continue to grow. The Press-Brake Programmer will be responsible for setting up programs for press brake and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. The ideal applicant will have experience in working with engineers and operators to create efficient programs for conforming parts.
Responsibilities Include:
• Using technical, architectural and/or structural drawings to find pertinent design data
• Programming hydraulic CNC press-brake to make conforming parts and creating instructions for operators
• Evaluating completed programs by running simulations or tests, and modifying for increased efficiency
• Measuring parts using calipers, protractors, and radius gauges to ensure parts conform to blueprint and shop order specifications
• Communicating with managers, designers/engineers, and press brake operators
• Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process
• Following company’s quality processes and procedures
• Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
• Other duties as assigned
Education:
• High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience/Qualifications:
• Capable of reading blueprints and calculating appropriate bend deductions
• Capable of converting between standard and metric
• Capable of reading various measuring devices in both standard and metric, including calipers and protractors
• Experience with choosing dies and tooling
• Experience programming CNC press-brake
