Responsibilities What does our Procurement Director - Technology do?
The Procurement Director - Technology is responsible for all aspects of third party IT spend including developing sourcing and category strategies, managing and delivering sourcing projects delivering optimal outcomes and costs, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the supplier base as well as enhancing commercial expertise and practices across the IT function and wider business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Development and execution of category strategy and plans to achieve effective IT delivery at optimal cost, annual cost savings, sustainability improvements and supply security.
• Direct and provide commercial leadership of category spend and supplier relationships in region.
• Key member of the IT senior management team, and a key point of contact to Group and RNA.
• Strategically Identify and drive innovation and identify and lead change in the category to optimise costs, mitigate risks and improve business outcomes
• Provide commercial leadership and promote best practice Procurement across the business through a trusted partner approach with stakeholders.
• Translate IT objectives and strategies into regional category and sourcing strategies and lead cross-functional efforts to identify and implement improvement opportunities
• Direct the organization’s approach to complex, cross-functional sourcing activities ensuring the engagement and buy-in from IT Leadership, functional VP’s and stakeholders, and regional procurement teams
• Foster and maintain peer relationships with IT Leadership, functional stakeholders, and regional procurement teams
• Effective service and contract management of IT suppliers, providing guidance regarding performance metrics and assisting with the resolution of critical supplier performance issues when required
• Ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategies are an intrinsic part of sourcing and contract development efforts
• Responsible for compliance with corporate product, procedural, regulatory, environmental and corporate social responsibility policies
• Cultivate an environment where peers and associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics
What do you need?
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, or relevant field
• Procurement experience of over 7 years required
• Experience with procurement best practices and a successful track record in Procurement, managing related spend in corporate environment
• Management and Leadership qualification preferred
• Experience developing and negotiating complex contracts
• Ability to work independently and perform against tight deadlines with multiple priorities
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
• Expert negotiation skills
• Effective communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
• Detail oriented - able to review and produce accurate, professional and error-free analyses in a timely manner
• Able to establish solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license and undergo motor vehicle driving record check
• 10% Travel
