We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2023. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy. **As a Manufacturing Engineer intern you will gain experience including, but not limited to activities and tasks listed below:** - Videotape the processes and upload them into Timer Pro. Create work instructions and standard work. - Present findings and lessons learned to management at the end of the internship. - Assist in gathering and analyzing manufacturing-related issues/improvements. - Design tooling or processes to improve safety, ergonomics, and increase manufacturing productivity - Works with the Manufacturing Engineering department to create, review and update procedures **PROJECTS:** - Videotape the processes and upload them into Timer Pro - Identifying and documenting value added and non-value-added activities in the assembly processes - Conduct Ergonomic assessment - Assist with weld fixture improvements - Analyze weld defect data and determine the opportunity of improvements - Introduction to the programming of robots **EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS** - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Self-driven and proactive - Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities - Ability to communicate effectively at all levels - Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects - COVID-19 VACCINES WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL NEWLY HIRED CARRIER U.S. SALARIED EMPLOYEES **EDUCATION** - Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study - GPA must be greater than or equal to a 3.0 GPA - Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
