Responsibilities:
• Reports directly to the CFO
• Provides leadership in the areas of compliance, employee relations, safety, workers' compensation, benefit administration, recruitment, and employee engagement
• Reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance of required postings, policies, practices and procedures
• Collaborate with the safety leader, insurer and legal counsel to ensure that WC claims are filed timely and accurately. Advise Safety Leader and other leadership regarding accommodations, return to work, etc.
• Partner with broker and third party administrator to prepare for and facilitate annual open enrollment and annual benefit seminars. Provide necessary reporting and documentation to broker for processing.
• Assist employees with benefit questions and provide benefit resources as needed.
• Review and oversee monthly invoice coding and processing.
• Provide information during onboarding and follow up up with new employees when they become eligible for medical benefits.
• Recruitment and support
• Develop Human Resource materials, presentations and general information about the company. Deliver an informative and positive new hire first day orientation and onboarding experience.
• Conduct stay and exit interviews
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• BS in Human Resource Management from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
• Professional certification through SHRM or other
• Must have 5+ years’ experience in compliance
• 10+ years’ experience supporting 100 employees or more in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with national and local legislation, including EEOC, Workers’ Comp, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of internal and external contacts
• Positive and professional communication skills, both oral and written
• Action Bias and a Sense of urgency
• Ability to maintain/manage confidential information
• Strong time management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, HRIS and ATS; Bamboo knowledge a plus
• Experience managing a Human Resource organization
