The Compliance Anti Money Laundering Risk Management Officer is a senior professional level role responsible for establishing internal procedures to prevent money laundering and assist in all matters concerning financial crimes in coordination with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. The overall objective is to utilize established disciplinary knowledge to identify inconsistencies in data or results and formulate strategic recommendations on policies, procedures, and practices.The Consumer Digital AML Compliance Officer role supports the Personal Banking AML Compliance Risk Management team in performing activities across the Personal Banking enterprise concerning digital products, services, payment methods, and acquisition channels, which include the following:Identifying new and modified digital products, services, payment methods, and onboarding channels to promote the early engagement of key stakeholdersAssessing the AML risks associated with new products, services, and initiatives, and driving risk assessment discussionsProviding advice and credible challenge concerning controls and monitoring plansConducting targeted risk reviews to assess compliance with incremental AML commitmentsCommunicating program enhancements and insights relevant to future product and service developmentsRepresenting AML Compliance in Digital Control ForumsResponsibilities:Identify, vet and address potential risks or escalated issues with the assistance of functional partnersCollaborate with the team to provide advice to business with respect to applicability of policies and implementation of the AML program and regulatory changesProvide input/advice on business initiatives, new products, and strategic partnershipsParticipate in internal assurance processes such as Enterprise wide AML risk assessment, self-assessment, and internal auditPromote global consistency of AML ACRM practices and policies within business line and cross-sectorAnalyze, monitor, and help to solution AML related issues and escalationsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencyQualifications:5-8 years of experienceAnti-Money Laundering (AML) certification preferredKnowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements applicable to banksWorking knowledge of regulatory requirements including local, US, and international lawsWorking knowledge of industry standards and practicesDemonstrated analytical skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Education:Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
