Network Infrastructure Lead
Jacobs is looking for a highly-motivated Network Infrastructure Lead to serve as a leader within the J6 Directorate of USCENTCOM. This is a supervisory role with management responsibility over a workforce of approximately 15 contractor personnel. The Network Infrastructure Lead is responsible for operations and maintenance of the USCENTCOM network infrastructure. This includes local area and wide area IP-based networks (LAN and WAN).
Program Mission:
USCENTCOM C4 Enterprise Support. Jacobs provides Command, Control, Communications, and Computers Enterprise Support (C4ES) to the J6 Directorate (CCJ6) of the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), located at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL, and its forward Headquarters located in Qatar. The C4ES program provides CCJ6 with enterprise IT support services including the ability to share information anytime and anywhere through a Network-Centric Environment that is flexible, redundant, reliable, secure, and protected.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Supervises network engineers and technicians in the operations and maintenance of CENTCOM networks.
• Manages/oversees WAN troubleshooting/problem determination for Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Synchronous Optical Network (SONET), European digital transmission format (E1), and the North American T-carrier system format (T1).
• Manages/oversees LAN troubleshooting/problem determination for Ethernet, Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), Virtual
• Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Manages/oversees support for CISCO firewall/Virtual Private Network (VPN) equipment, Adaptive Security Appliance, NEXUS Data Center Architecture, Virtual Distributed Switching, CISCO Aggregation Service Routers (ASR), and Virtual Switching Systems (VSS).
• Manages/oversees support for IP services (IP, Multicast, Quality of Service (QOS), and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
Basic Qualifications:
• TS/SCI Eligible Clearance required
• CISCO Certified Network Professional (Routing & Switching) certification.
• DoD 8570 Baseline IAT-II level certification.
• Demonstrated experience supervising engineers and technicians in DoD networks.
• Demonstrated experience in complex WAN troubleshooting/problem determination for ISDN, ATM, SONET, and European E1 and North American T1 formats.
• Demonstrated experience in complex LAN troubleshooting/problem determination for Ethernet, HSRP, VRRP, EIGRP, OSPF protocol, and BGP.
• Demonstrated experience supporting CISCO firewall/VPN equipment, Adaptive Security Appliance, NEXUS Data Center Architecture, Virtual Distributed Switching, CISCO ASR, and VSS.
• Demonstrated experience supporting IP services (IP, Multicast, QOS, and SNMP).
• Must have knowledge of network analysis tools, such as CISCO Network Configuration Manager, CISCO Network Analysis Modules, and SOLARWINDS Network Configuration Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
• It is desired that the candidate possess an active CISCO Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification (Routing & Switching).
