Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Grant Accountant. Summary: In this role, the Grant Accountant is responsible for all of the internal financial accounting & reporting for all of their federal state contracts, as well as Journal entries (mainly revenue-related). The Grant Accountant will be responsible for the financial statements for each one of the programs. Our client is open to a Project Accountant who has worked with engineering firms, federal funding, etc. This person has to work well with internal & external program managers & funding sources. The system used is Abilla MIP (fund accounting software for non-profits). This can be taught and is user-friendly.
• Accounting degree is highly preferred
• Non-profit experience is a must have
• Strong financial analysis/reporting/budgeting experience
• Strong Excel experience
• Decent understanding of debits/credits/balance sheets, etc.
