Job Summary:

The Authoritative Data Source and Certification Program Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, and to guide, influence and convince others, notably colleagues in other areas and/or occasional external customers. Accountable for direct business results and authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Demands a degree of responsibility over data governance framework and strategy. The job description provides a high-level review of the type of work performed other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate in key initiatives within the PBWM Global Data Risk and Controls (DRC) through the collection, analysis, review, reporting, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements
  • Coordination across line of businesses, technology, and functional stakeholders to conduct reviews and challenges on designation of an Authoritative Data Source and Data Certification
  • Ability to perform comprehensive reviews, validate artifacts, and supporting evidence against criterions per Company Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and any additional requirements requested from PBWM Federated Chief Data Office and PBWM Global Data Governance Officer
  • Manage and coordinate the project to close on process gaps identified in the governance of designation Authoritative Data Source and Data Certification
  • Ability to link multiple processes of the Data Operating Model(DOM) such as Data Concern, Data Consumer Requirements, Metadata, Data and System Lineage, and Data Quality Framework to align and comply with CDGP, CDGP Standard, Regulatory Obligations, and BCBS 239
  • Document requirements to design reports to satisfy PBWM Federated Chief Data Office and PBWM Global DGO management needs
  • Applies/demonstrates advanced understanding of processes, procedures, and policies for the aligned business
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving PBWM Global DGO objectives
  • Utilizes excellent communication skills is essential to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties
  • Other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a related role
  • Possess knowledge in more than one related area, such as Data Governance, Finance, Risk, or Data Quality
  • Requires analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs
  • Basic understanding that the function integrates within overall technology to achieve objectives
  • Experienced in data management and knowledgeable in metadata, data standards, data repositories and system information flow as System of Record, System of Origin and Authoritative Provisioning Point
  • Working knowledge of financial products across lines of business, and of global functions
  • Knowledge of financial institutions regulatory reporting a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint
Education:
  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
