Citi's Institutional Clients Group ("ICG") litigation and regulatory team supports all ICG businesses, including corporate and investment banking, markets and securities services, and trade and treasury services in connection with the defense of securities actions, antitrust actions, and derivative actions in federal and state courts, in arbitrations before FINRA or the AAA, and in regulatory investigations and inquiries.   In addition, the group handles commercial disputes arising out of structured products, including, for example, swaps, CDOs, RMBS, repos, mortgages, realty, and asset recoveries.  The litigations often include Securities Exchange Act and Securities Act claims as well as False Claims Act, FCPA, ERISA, Trust Indenture Act, UCC and RICO claims, along with tort and contract claims.  The team also provides an important advisory function to ensure best practices and mitigate litigation and regulatory risk.  Responses to regulatory inquiries, coordination on internal investigations, and reporting responsibilities are also part of the team’s responsibilities.  Team members work closely with colleagues in other regions around the globe and with the Consumer Litigation group on cross-border and cross-affiliate issues that require collaboration and coordination.  Specific responsibilities include:Provides paralegal and administrative support to the litigation and regulatory attorneys supporting the ICG business.  Assists and takes direction from attorneys in the group requiring paralegal assistance in responding to litigations, arbitrations, regulatory inquiries, investigations, and subpoenas on behalf of the ICG.Assists attorneys with their matters from start to end:  gathers responsive information and documents, reviews legal documents and e-mails, drafts and distributes document preservation notices, drafts letters, prepares documents for production to regulators, processes settlement payments, prepares regulatory chronologies and prepares regulatory filings.Works closely with and assists retained outside counsel on more complex matters.Liaises with internal support functions (e.g. Compliance, Finance, Risk and Audit, as well as other lawyers throughout the firm) and business clients, and is responsible for working independently to gather information and documents in order to respond to requests.Assists in opening and closing matters, tracking settlements and resolutions, and keeping metrics for the department.Qualifications:The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:Bachelor’s Degree required.Experience working in either a law firm or corporate legal department performing paralegal functions preferred. Financial services experience preferred.Must possess strong interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills.Must be detail-oriented, able to adhere to tight deadlines, successfully multitask, and use discretion with respect to confidential information.Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook and Adobe ProfessionalAbility to learn how to utilize Citi's internal tools and systems.-------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Legal-------------------------------------------------Job Family:Legal Support------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Citi”) invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
