That unique person should also be a team player who is seeking to advance into a Director of Nursing career.*_Duties and Responsibilities: _** Must have strong triage skills* May be responsible for Medical Cart during shift* Acts effective to resolve and maintain emergencies and safety issues* Prepare medications, administer medications, and treatment with knowledge of purpose and adverse effects of nursing care provided.* Ability to perform physical activities* Excellent time management, superior organization skills and be an exceptional communicator.* Must be dedicated, organized, work well with a team; works to ensure and maintain a safe environment* Will work alongside the healthcare team directing and coordinating the operations of the nursing department.* Assist the _Director of Nursing_ with planning, implementation, and evaluation of in-service and continuing education programs.* Recognize the diverse skill levels of individual staff members and the unique needs of the clients when developing staffing plans* Effectively schedule nursing staff* Must have experience with individual who are developmental disabilities or those who require a Ventilator, Gastrostomy Tube or Tracheostomy.* Willingness to perform on-call during the week as needed and every other weekend. Must work every other weekend* Participates in-service training* Completes all documentation for observation, planning, and evaluation of care provided to residents, including orders by physicians.* Monitor capacity development and ensuring coverage* Oversee and monitor employee guidance as well as disciplinary actions.* Acts on the resident’s behalf to assure patient rights and to prevent resident abuse and neglect.*_Position Qualifications_** Registered Nurse with valid and current licensure* Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing.
