Responsibilities
• Design & develop enterprise-grade Java/J2EE-based applications.
• Design & develop reusable APIs and plugins on top of the Appian BPM Suite.
• Build REST & SOAP-based web services.
• Participating in agile team practices and ceremonies.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Analyzing and resolving technical and application-based problems
• Develop and unit test applications according to the established standards.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure scalability.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and
presenting these for architectural review.
• Participate in project planning / Scrum meetings
• Source control, check-in, check-out code(manage code repositories effectively).
• Prepare manuals and other documentation on the status, progress, and maintenance of applications.
Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor's Degree required: Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or other related fields.
• Reliably able to commute to Tampa hybrid: 2 days in office - 3 days remote/ and/ or relocate
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the development of Java/J2EE applications.
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Solid understanding of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management,
• Transaction management etc).
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2,
Hibernate).
• Knowledge of Struts & Spring frameworks.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Experience in developing applications using MVC.
• Experience in building SOAP and REST web services.
• Working knowledge of Java application servers.
• Knowledge of Application packaging and deployment
• Experience in Appian or another BPM tool would be a plus
• Working knowledge of Networks and OS platforms (Windows, Linux) would be a plus.
• Appian certification would be a plus.
