Responsible for compiling supporting documents and reconciliation of material charges on work requests, including Energy Delivery (ED) Billing functions. Assist with analysis, coordination and reporting of financial information

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Verifies data is correctly recorded in WORKPro for CIAC, Property Damage, Chargeable Job and Miscellaneous billing information, as well as for assigned service areas work requests. Ensures all supporting documentation is accurate and complete. Contacts appropriate individuals to resolve discrepancies. (15%)
2.Reviews asset material on work order requests to ensure accuracy. When necessary, compares sketches or maps prepared in field aProductst work orders for consistency. Contacts appropriate individuals if corrections are warranted. (10%)
3.Enters materials and/or man hours to produce manual invoices sent to outside agency to recover damages to TECO property caused by external parties. (25%)
4.Reviews Close-out Report showing completed work requests that have not been closed. Determines cause of errors and rectifies in timely manner to maintain accurate accounting reports. (5%)
5.Responsible for the daily invoicing and receiving payments for various Energy Delivery billing situations such as CIAC, Chargeable work, etc. This activity will include the usage of the PowerPlan Reimbursable Module. (35%)
6.Responsible for the accounting functions to various TECO subsidiaries including, but not limited to: Cash Postings (FB70 & F-28), processing Journal Entries, preparation of Financial Statements, Cash Flow and Bank Recons, among other various duties pertaining to the subsidiary as appliable. (10%)
SUPERVISION
No direct supervisory responsibility
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Interfaces effectively with management and employees at all levels within the Company. Daily contact with Energy Delivery personnel in Stores, Field Engineering, Line Personnel and Field Coordination, and Customer Service / Marketing.
LEVEL 1:Plant Accounting Specialist I
Possesses some knowledge of basic theories, concepts, practices and procedures related to Plant Accounting and Billing; Applies the knowledge to simple work assignments to meet specific objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Some courses beyond high school
Related Experience
Required: Minimum two years of related office experience with an emphasis in accounting; Examples of related experience may include creating billing invoices and payment processing, etc.
Preferred: Prior experience in material reconciliation; customer service or financial experience is helpful.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: Personal computer experience in MS Excel spreadsheets, MS Word, WORKPro or comparable PC software; Good oral and written communications skills

LEVEL 2:Plant Accounting Specialist II
Possesses fundamental knowledge of theories, concepts, practices and procedures related to Plant Accounting and Billing and applies it to moderately difficult work assignments.
ADDTIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
7.Provides first-level contact for any type of reconciliation issues, questions or concerns. Refers issues to Coordinator, Plant Accounting as needed.
8.Consolidates all spreadsheet information related to Closing Reports from each service area and compiles summary for department supervisor.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (In addition to prior level requirements)
Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Some college level courses
Related Experience
Required: Minimum of two years of experience as a Plant Accounting Specialist I (Level 1), performing reconciliation of work requests, invoicing and receiving cash functions; or a minimum of four years of office experience with an emphasis in accounting; Prior customer service or financial experience
Preferred: Prior experience in material reconciliation

Required:Problem identification and problem solution skills to ensure successful management of multiple priorities and assignments

LEVEL 3:Plant Accounting Specialist Senior
Possesses broad knowledge of theories, concepts, practices and procedures related to Plant Accounting and Billing. Works independently on applying the knowledge to a wide variety of difficult work assignments. Recommends solutions to complex reconciliation and billing issues faced by lower level Plant Accounting Specialists.
ADDTIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
8.Provides second-level contact for resolving escalated, complex reconciliation issues, including questions or concerns, property damage reporting procedures, or billing procedures. If needed, refers very complex or pervasive issues to the Coordinator, Plant Accounting.
9.Provides the Supervisor, Plant Accounting with the YTD totals for all billing related activities to include but not limited to CIAC, Property Damage and Chargeable Jobs.
10.Aids in the training of Associate Plant Accounting & Billing Specialists.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (In addition to prior level requirements)
Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associates Degree
Related Experience
Required: Minimum two years of experience as a Plant Accounting Specialist II (Level 2)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required:Experience and/or knowledge of the operations and organization of major departments within the Company
